It is my pleasure to introduce or re-introduce the building level evaluation team leaders in our schools. These women work tirelessly to ensure the process of special education referrals, initial and re-evaluations are all completed in a timely and thorough fashion. They provide oversight of the overall progress of our students on individualized educational plans and work closely with families and special education staff to ensure successful student outcomes.
At the Early Childhood Center, Christie Manganis brings to this position eleven years of experience in the Tyngsborough Public Schools as a school guidance counselor, school psychologist and Early Intervention Coordinator. Her dedication to the parents and children of the TECC will continue in this new role and she hopes to share with you her enthusiasm and expertise in working with our school district’s youngest learners.
Kerry Cavanaugh, the Elementary School Team Chairperson, graduated from Rivier College in Nashua, New Hampshire. Kerry successfully completed the requirements for a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, Elementary Education, and Special Education. Her classroom teaching experience, numerous community activities, and professional and personal experience with early intervention have provided her with strong leadership and interpersonal skills that are an asset to the Tyngsborough Elementary School. Kerry is a responsible and dedicated individual who possess a love for learning. Her goal as a team chair is to combine her range of experience and education with her ability to be a compassionate and informed listener.
At the High School and Middle School levels, Martha Wright has been the Team Chairperson for the past four years. In May 2000, she graduated from Northern Arizona University with after successfully completing the requirements for a Master of Science in Clinical Speech & Language Pathology. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her sixteen years of public school experience spans the educational continuum; she has worked with students ranging from pre-school up to those transitioning into adult living. This is her tenth year with the Tyngsborough Schools and it is her continued goal to work with families, students, and her professional colleagues in addressing the needs of all students.
